Jeevitha jailed for 2 years in cheque bounce case

The Erramanzil court in Hyderabad has sentenced Telugu film actress Jeevitha to two years simple imprisonment in a case of cheque bounce.

The court also directed Jeevitha to furnish a personal bond of Rs 25 lakh and two sureties of the like amount.

The court sentenced while responding to a petition filed by producer Shekar Reddy stating that she gave Rs.22 lakhs cheque to him for a settlement of loan taken to make ‘Evadayithe Nakemiti’ movie.

The petitioner alleged that cheques got bounced and she did not give the amount even after completion of several months.

It may be recalled that a local court in Hyderabad recently issued a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against Jeevitha as she did not appear for the court proceedings.
