Hyderabad: TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy approached Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday for being banned by most of the domestic airlines for his unruly behavior at Vishakapatnam airport on June 15.

Reddy in his petition stated that imposing ban on him without an inquiry is illegal and requested the court to remove the ban as his age would not permit him to take up other modes of travel. He made the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Air India, Jet Airways, Vistara Airlines, IndiGo, GoAir, Air Asia, SpiceJet, and Turbo Megha Airways as respondents in the petition. Since parliament sessions will begin from July 17, as an MP he urged the court to permit him to travel on a flight.

Almost all the domestic airlines in India have imposed a flying ban on the MP after he manhandled a senior official and destroyed a printer from the boarding pass counter at the Vizag airport on June 15.
