Following the raging fire from the Nandi awards controversy, Tollywood celebs are maintaining stoic silence before media. In a recent Sports Bar inaugural function held in the city, actors tried to avoid media personnel over the issue. Naga Chaitanya, who received award for the best supporting actor in the super hit film - 'Manam', refused to comment over the issue. Even senior actor Rajendra Prasad too declined to comment on the controversy.

But senior actor Jagapathi Babu has something to say about it. In an off-the-record chat, the actor felt that Tollywood filmmakers, who are not at all associated with the awards, are deliberately making the issue disproportionately bigger.

"Makers who received the awards are fully satisfied, those who did not get the awards got disappointed, and they are the ones who are making criticism. People who are not at all related with it, are provoking them to make the issue controversy," he felt.
