Thousands of activists from Seemandhra region reached New Delhi to take part in protest against state bifurcation spearheaded by YSR congress Party on Monday.
The activists reached the capital in two special trains arranged for the same, from Andhra Pradesh.
YSRCP's party president, Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy is being supported by various organisations for his protest.
“By successfully conducting the dharna, we are going to show the strength of Telugu people to Sonia Gandhi”, said a senior leader of YSRCP from West Godavari district.
Tight security arrangements have been made by the police department in Delhi to avoid any untoward incidents. Metro services have been stopped till 5 pm today.
