Jagan should withdraw his anti-speaker statements: Gandra

Government chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Friday slammed YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for criticising Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar in his press conference held on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters in Warangal, Gandra asked the YSRCP chief to withdraw the remarks made against the speaker.
"If Jagan doesn't withdraw his statements against the speaker,he would be served with notices for violating Assembly rights," said Gandra.
Jagan had came down heavily on the speaker, saying he didn't understand why speaker and CM were in such a hurry for state bifurcation. "Aren't they aware of the processes involved when a state is bifurcated," Jagan asked. He added, "After tabling the draft Bill, the speaker now wants to know how other states were bifurcated. Is it not silly?"
