Jagan meets Karunanidhi, explains problems of bifurcation

YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday evening met DMK president and former UPA ally, M Karunanidhi, in Gopalapuram, Chennai and sought his support in his campaign against the division of Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan explained to Karunanidhi, the problems the bifurcation would lead to and submitted a memorandum stating the same. He later met Karunanidhi's son M K Stalin and daughter Kanimozhi. Both gave him a warm welcome and heard his point of view.
Jagan who met several national party leaders in his mission to garner support has been pressing, vehemently, for an amendment to Article 3.
Earlier in the day, he also met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
