Jagan Exposes Manipulated Numbers Of Govt’s Double-Digit Claims

Amaravati: Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday deciphered the tall claims made by the government in the Governor's speech and exposed their emptiness.

Participating in a thanksgiving debate on the Governor's speech, Jagan said each claim made by the government through the speech was a blatant lie as the statistics show different figures. "The government is claiming that it had achieved a double-digit growth in 2015-16 and the six-month period in the current financial year. All those figures are manipulated. Tamil Nadu with an established industrial sector in Chennai achieved 8.79 percent growth in 2015-16, Karnataka with a massive IT industry in Bengaluru achieved 6.2 percent, Maharashtra with the business capital of India Mumbai achieved 8 percent and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi's own state Gujarat achieved 7.7 percent whereas AP is claiming 10.99 percent with all manipulated figures," Jagan said.

Opposition Leader also criticized the government's industrial policy stating that pollution creating pharmaceutical companies are being set up amidst hatcheries and aqua units where sea water is essential.
