The launch of an Indian Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) rocket carrying weather satellite INSAT-3DR has been rescheduled by 40 minutes owing to delay in filling of fuel in the cryogenic stage.

Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh): The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has scheduled the launch of an advanced weather satellite called INSAT-3DR using the rocket GSLV-F05 on Thursday. But, the launch of an Indian Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) rocket carrying weather satellite INSAT-3DR has been rescheduled by 40 minutes owing to delay in filling of fuel in the cryogenic stage, said a senior official.

The launch time is scheduled to begin at 4:10 pm and live telecast of the event will be available on ISRO website, youtube and Doordarshan channel.

“Some technical anomaly was found during the filling of fuel in the cryogenic engine. The issue was sorted out and the fuelling operations have restarted. Hence the delay,” a senior official of ISRO said. He said the revised launch time is 4.50 p.m. Originally the launch time was 4.10 p.m.
