Interim bail for Srilakshmi

The CBI Special Court on Monday granted interim bail to suspended IAS  officer Y Srilakshmi in the OMC mining case.

The judge directed her to surrender again on Jan 21 next year. Srilakshmi was also asked to deposit a personal bond of Rs.50,000, not to leave Hyderabad and to surrender her passport to the court.  She was also directed to cooperate with the CBI in the investigations.

On submitting before the court certain medical reports that she was suffering from acute backache and needs continuous medical attention, Srilakshmi was granted interim bail. She was arrested in November last year for 'deliberately' removing the crucial word 'captive' from the GOs issued in the in the OMC mining case. The special court on Dec 2 had granted her bail but the same was subsequently cancelled by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
