Hyderabad: SpiceJet on Friday launched smart mobile check-in facility at the Hyderabad airport.

The budget carrier became India’s first airline to launch this facility under which passengers do not require to carry the itinerary printouts nor have to key-in the PNR number to initiate check in.

Customers who have booked their tickets using the mobile app will have to simply open the app and touch the mobile device on the NFC Check-in poster available at the airport to retrieve their mobile boarding pass on their smartphones.

Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated the smart mobile check-in which uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies.
