IMD Issues Heatwave Alert Across Telangana, City Sizzles
Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a heat wave alert for tomorrow across Telangana and Hyderabad. The maximum temperature is likely to be 45 degree Celsius.
“An upper-air circulation is expected to affect South Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema after three days. This system could bring in moisture-laden air to Telangana. With humidity, discomfort being experienced becomes worse,” said IMD representative Nagaratna.
Hyderabad touched 40 degree Celsius today, while earlier the temperature was two or three degrees more. Meanwhile, the state government has asked the district collector to take appropriate measure for the people to beat the soaring temperatures.
It may be recalled that, thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds were witnessed at isolated places in Khammam, Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar-Bhupalapally, Mancherial, Pedapalli and Warangal districts for the last two days.
