'If all goes well, I will be the CM of Telangana'

Senior Congress leader and MP V.Hanumantha Rao said that the people of Telangana want him to be the chief minister of the newly-formed state.

“If all goes well, I will be the first chief minister of Telangana,” said Hanumanth Rao, who is a Congress candidate from Amberpet assembly constituency.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, he said: "Only Congress can provide social justice.” He expressed the confidence that Congress would make a BC or SC as the first chief minister of the newly-carved out state of Telangana.

“The BC card being played by TDP president Chandrababu is a charade and the people would never vote for him,” said Hanumantha Rao.
