I will not join TRS, says Nagam

Telangana Nagara president and MLA Nagam Janardhana Reddy today flatly denied rumors of his joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

“The question of my joining the TRS will not arise as the TRS itself is coining with the idea of merging with the Congress,” he asserted.Talking to mediapersons in Hyderabad, Nagam said that both the TDP and the Congress had taken the people of the Telangana for a ride. Now the TRS has expressed its willingness to merge with the Congress in the event of the UPA Government taking a decision in favor of Telangana. “How can I join a party which is ready to merge itself with the Congress that has deceived the Telangana people,” he asked.
Nagam reaffirmed that he would continue to fight for formation of Telangana state till the dream of the people of the region is realized. “There is no compromise on the issue,” he added.
He termed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s Padayatra as a drama and said that “the people will expose his dramatics in the elections. Naidu can no longer cheat the people of Telangana,” he added.
