"I have not duped my parents" says Madhupriya

Adilabad: Popular folk singer, Madhu Priya stated that inspite of being a celebrity, she had to face a lot of issues to get married to her beau Sreekanth, with whom she has been in love for the past two years.

She added that she tried a lot to convince her parents but when they denied it, she decided to get married.
Speaking to Sakshi right after her wedding, she said the following:

Social media hypes every small news
Before blaming a girl, people must think as to why she has done what she has done
I am confident I'm not at fault
I have requested my parents, but they continued to oppose my relationship
I have not cheated my parents.
I have known Sreekanth for the past two years. He used to reside in New Nallakunta
I have told my parents about our love
In spite of being a celebrity, I had to face a lot of issues
In the end, I had to get married to him against my parent's will
I won't forget my career in any circumstance
Sreekanth isn't famous. My parents are worried about his financial status, It doesn't matter to me.
I am right now pursuing LLB, first year
Sreekanth knows about my goals in life and he would support me
I think my parents will speak to us after a while
I am very happy about my marriage but it's very sad that I had to leave my parents
I am not sure what I would do in the future. Destiny will decide
I can't say if I'll become a lawyer
I will continue singing even after the wedding
I have been facing issues in the past one month from both the sides
If parents had accepted, all this wouldn't have happened
I even received threatening calls
I didn't approach the police initially. When the issue got out of hand, I approached Kagaznagar DSP
