YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his grief over the demise of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on July 27. He breathed his last at Bethany Hospital Shillong at 7:45 pm after he collapsed of cardiac arrest while speaking at IIM Shillong to the B-school students

YS Jagan in a press release said “ My eyes got teary on hearing the news of demise of former President and the pride child of Indian Dr. Abdul Kalam.

The birth of such great men is epochal and their impact on the society will stay for aeons. He is an inspiration to millions of people. He was a great scientist who made India stand high in the realms of space and rocket science. He a humble and selfless patriot of Mother India."

Jagan said that Kalam would be remembered as one who gave his everything to spreading knowledge and doing service to his country till his last breath.

"Born in a modest fishermen family, he had worked as a paper boy , Dr. Kalam grew up to occupy the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Despite being the president he led a simple life. He is the epitome of an Indian soul.
