‘Swachh Bharat Pakhwada’ Campaign At RGIA

HYDERABAD: To maintain a clean and green environment, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is celebrating a 15-day Swachh Bharat Pakhwada Campaign in the airport premises. The sanitation and cleanliness drive will be conducted till November 30.

As per reports, Swachhta March has also been organised within the airport premises followed by aclean-up drive.

The management, staff and all other stakeholders of the airport including airlines officials, the ground staff and the entire community had participated in the drive.

Apart from just a march and drive, the airport had also started spreading awareness on cleanliness and sanitation across the terminals and also on its social media platforms as a part of the campaign.

RGIA also has  India's first airport-based captive compost plant to process food waste into organic compost. Recently, RGIA had also added a feather to its cap by winning the second prize for offering a clean, hygienic environment for the security personnel.
