Swami Vivekananda has said that "Charity has to begin from Our Home" and Professor Dr Syed Jahangir from Hyderabad might have taken a queue from these words. There are many philanthropic institutions in the society which will cater the needs of poor or underprivileged.

But this Professor on his own took the responsibility of not one or ten. He is extending his helping hand to more than 200 students that too from his pocket. His philanthropic gesture is not for name or fame. As a responsible person of the society he is supporting the underprivileged students.

He has been providing required resources to the poor students since past 10 years.Besides just urdu and arabic, Prof Dr Syed teaches different languages to the children. Students hailing from different parts of the country are studying under him.

Speaking about the his vision and aim of this initiative he said to a daily that, " I am so thankful to God to make my initiative succesful which is to help children from weaker background not only providing them with education in different languages but also with food and accomodation".

"Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family. In this growing world, where education is deemed as business, I believe that weaker sections have more necessity of the right to quality education", Prof Dr Syed said to the daily.
