Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police grilled controversial director Ram Gopal Varma on Saturday in connection with a case filed against him for hurting the sentiments of women through his film God, Sex and Truth.

RGV, who arrived in Hyderabad this morning, appeared before the investigating officer at the Central Crime Station (CCS).

As many as 10 questions have been posed to him — What is the purpose of producing God, Sex and Truth? Where did he secure funding from to make the film? How RGV secured photographs of adult star Mia Malkova that were posted in Twitter and Facebook? Who had funded remuneration for Mia Malkova? Details of movie equipment — were among the list of several questions.

Following the notices served on him by the police, RGV replied through his counsel that he could not present himself before the police as he was busy shooting for a film in Mumbai.

Aware that his arrest was imminent, Ram Gopal Varma rushed to Hyderabad in response to the police summons.

Following the release of his short film God, Sex and Truth, which had stirred up a controversy, several cases were registered against the maverick director in both the Telugu states. Social activist Devi lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime police on January 25.
