Hyderabad Literary Festival kicks off in HPS

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Literary Festival (HFL), the prestigious international event organised in Hyderabad in the month of January every year, was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Panchayat Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday.

The main event, however, kicked off in the Hyderabad Public School campus on Friday.
HLF, an annual festival, promotes the brand image of Hyderabad as a city of creative energies. The festival represents the culture of the twin cities- Hyderabad & Secunderabad. The four-day festival is a platform for book readings, panel discussions and documentary screenings among others.

While ‘Singapore’ is the guest nation of the HLF 2016, ‘Marathi’ is this year’s language in focus. The fest pays special attention to one foreign country and one Indian language every year.

Tollywood actors Shriya Saran and Navadeep were present at the event on its first day today. Several other stars, popular authors will be taking part in various events throughout the festival which ends on Sunday.
