Husband kills wife, creates suicide scene, absconds

Hyderabad: Rukhsana, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly murdered at her house at Mylardevpally on Wednesday. The incident came to light at 1.30pm on Wednesday when neighbor Shaik Khaja found Rukhsana dead in her house. Khaja informed Rukhsana's mother Nazma Begum about the death.

Mylardevpally inspector S Venkat Reddy said the victim's husband Ashraf called his neighbor Khaja and asked to check whether Rukhsana was alright. He told Khaja that they had a fight in the morning and his wife Rukhsana threatened to commit suicide. Khaja went to Ashraf's house only to find Rukhsana dead.

Inspector said that the victim has bruises on the right elbow and on her face. It is suspected that Rukhsana was killed by her husband Ashraf.

Rukhsana married Ashraf, a native of Haryana four years ago who works as a construction worker. They have a three-year-old son. According to victim's mother Ashraf suspected Rukhsana's fidelity and also harassed her for dowry. The police registered a case of dowry death and murder and searching for Ashraf.
