'How much commission ministers get from Amma Hastam?'

YSRCP leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Friday slammed the government saying Bangaru Talli and Amma Hastam schemes were only for promotion.

He criticized the government for spending Rs 700 crores on advertisements and not for the benefit of poor.

Tamarind is available at Rs. 35 per kilo in Pungaru. But under the Amma Hastam scheme, a mere half kilo tamarind costs Rs. 35! Stating that the Amma Hastam bag which is supposed to costs Rs 4 is being sold at Rs. 11, he questioned how much commission the ministers and CM are making out of this.
