History sheet opened against call money scam accused

Vijayawada city: Vijayawada police have opened a rowdy sheet against Yalamanchili Sriramamurthy alias Ramu, a key accused in the infamous call money sex racket that shook the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Ramu has been charged with the duping and harassing a woman in the garb of finance business in Patamata Pantakalva area in December last year. Later, police registered a case against him and seven others.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that another accused in the call-money case Chennupati Srinivasa Rao's petition seeking anticipatory bail was dismissed by the High Court. Srinivasa Rao is expected to come to the concerned police station in two or three days to surrender.
