Hindupur: The internal bickering in the Hindupur unit of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) over the high handedness of actor Balakrishna's secretary Sekhar has reached Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who ordered the immediate removal of the secretary.
Tensions have been brewing for sometime in the Hindupur consistency of actor and local MLA Balakrishna. The attitude of the MLA's secretary Sekhar and his forced involvement in all matters in the constituency have forced the partymen to unite and raise a flag of revolt. Recently, local party leaders CC Venkataramudu and Ambika Lakshminarayana called for a meeting of all partymen in Hindupur and gathered grievances from those affected by Sekhar unsolicited involvement in all matters of the constituency. The ZPTCs of Lepakshi and Chilamattur even tendered their resignations. Others party leaders also issued an ultimatum to the party leadership that they would quit the party enmasse if action is not taken against Sekhar.
Following the ultimatum, Hindupur MLA Balakrishna and party general secretary Nara Lokesh met Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday. Following the meeting, the chief minister is said to have advised Balakrishna to divest Sekhar of all his responsibilities with immediate effect.
