High drama over SC/ST quota bill

•    Mulayam accuses the Media of deliberately erasing the footage

The Quota Bill was the reason for a fight in the Lok Sabha. The MPs of The Samajwadi Party who were violently opposing the bill and the Congress MPs  pushed each other and even came to blows Trouble started as soon as the Minister V. Narayana Swamy got up to introduce the bill  for reservations in promotions for SCs and STs which needed an amendment to the Constitution clause no. 117

The members in Lok Sabha looked aghast at the sight of Yesweer Singh an  M. P. from SP  rushing and snatching the bill from him . Sonia Gandhi immediately intervened.

lately she has been active in giving directions to the ruling party members in all matters and hence rushed towards Yesweer Singh and tried to take away the bill from him.but the MP had already thrown the papers in to the well where the members of the SP party were raising slogans.

Neeraj Sekhar an SP member not only took the papers but tore  them in to pieces and scattered them all over the well. There were  loud  arguments  and jostling between the Congress and SP members.

Lok Sabha reverberated with shouts and slogans . Since the situation did not settle down to calm and peace Speaker Meera Kumari postponed the  proceedings to Thursday. But there was still trouble in the Lok Sabha even after she was gone The Congress members, Kanumuri Bapiraju, Vilas Muthaiwar, Kanthilal Bhuria went towards Sonia Gandhi and stood in protection for her .

The SP members went towards Mulayam in a bid to protect him .Earlier the proceedinjgs in Lok Sabha were postponed  to 2 p.m.  once and again to three p.m. due to agitations by the members on the issues of  violence against women  and  the Quota Bill . Rajya Sabha had already voted in favour of the Quota Bill.

Complaint against Yesweer Singh : Kamal Nath

The Minister for Parliamentary affairs Kamal Nath said that  it is unfortunate such incidents should occur in a Democratic Govt. he made it clear that he would ask the speaker to take action against the Yesweer.

If the members wanted to behave like this then where is the need for Democracy , Parliament and the media. He also asserted that the bill will be introduced once more in Lok Sabha. 

Mulayam  immediately said that the bill will be opposed in the same manner . He said that the bill is against the constitution and they will continue to oppose it. Mulayam accused the Congress to have insulted and struck their MP in the Parliament and also deliberately erase the footage.

Yesweer said that he was assaulted in the Lok Sabha. He is representing Nagina  costtuency in UttarPradesh and is himself  a Dalith .Mutthemwar denied that he assaulted  Yesweer .

Akali Dal criticizes  Sonia Gandhi

The member of Siromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur said it is intolerable for Sonia to have snatched the bill from an SC M.P. It is the first time that he had seen an MP to have caught hold of another MP by the collar and assault him.

These clippings were not shown in the in the TV and it was done deliberately to mislead the media It is not the first time said Congress.

Congress had dismissed the whole incident lightly. Renuka Chowdary said that I is not the first time for such things to happen in the Lok Sabha. People have different ways of expressing their dissent she said.
