Traffic Diversions In Hyderabad Ahead Of Ivanka, Modi’s Visit
Hyderabad: In the wake of VIPs and VVIPs movement in the city, the Hyderabad traffic police imposed traffic restrictions in view two mega events. Ahead of Hyderabad Metro Rail inauguration by PM Narendra Modi at Miyapur metro station, commuters are not allowed to take Miyapur-Kondapur stretch from 3pm to 8pm. Instead, they have to take an alternate route of Chandanagar-Gulmohar Park Junction-HCU route. The Hyderabad traffic police have hinted at traffic bottlenecks along the alternative routes. Commuters can even take Outer Ring Road (ORR) route near the IT corridor to avoid traffic.
Between 6 to 8pm, general vehicles will not be allowed on the ORR. Air passengers heading to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to take flights should take alternate routes.
In the evening, Ivanka Trump alongside with PM Modi, foreign delegates will visit Falaknuma Palace for dinner. So people in the Old City should be aware of traffic restrictions. Falaknuma, Chandrayangutta, Srisailam Highway, Peelidargh, Barkas, Himmathpura, Enginebowli routes will be diverted to alternate routes from 5pm to 11pm.
The traffic police department urged the air passengers to report two hours before their schedule flights due to traffic diversion.
