Heat wave continues; Telugu states worst hit

The soaring heatwave in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has killed more than 700 people so far with more deaths being reported on Sunday as vast swathes of the country reeled under the unrelenting summer heat.

As many as 251 dies on Sunday alone across the Telangana, with 57 being the highest toll in Warangal.  There was no respite in sight with the India Meteorological department warning that severe heatwave conditions are expected to continue in the two worst-hit southern states.
The toll in the heatwave in Andhra Pradesh since May 18 rose to 470, after 84 more people succumbed across the state on Sunday. Prakasam district recorded the most number of deaths at 83, followed by Visakhapatnam(53) and Vizianagaram (40), the official said.
 There was no respite from blistering heat in both telugu states and is killing people. Both the states turned out as heat balls and its hitting common mans life hard. Daily labourers and road side vendors are suffering a lot due to heat wave. Telangana government ordered its officials to do alternatives so as save people from sun-strokes.
