Legendary actress Sridevi's death sent shockwaves to the entire country. Not only her fans, but her family members too could not digest the news of her death. Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor broke down when he saw his wife lying motionless in the bath tub. Sridevi died due to accidental drowning at her Jumeirah towers hotel in Dubai where she had gone to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah.

Many of the bollywood celebrities mourned the death of the actress. Her MOM co-star Adnan Siddiqui, who was also in Dubai rushed to the hotel when a journalist informed him about the news. Recalling the night of death, he says that Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor was inconsolable on seeing his wife dead. "When I went to the hotel to confirm the news, I saw Boney crying like a child and was heartbroken with Sridevi's death," Siddiqui said.

Boney, who flew back from Mumbai to Dubai to give his wife a surprise has been completely distressed following the death of his wife Sridevi.

Sridevi who had flown to Dubai with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor to attend her nephew's wedding. She stayed back in the Gulf country after the wedding to spend some time with her sister Srilatha.

Sridevi's body was flown back to India yesterday around 10.30 pm in a private jet and the last rites will be held today around 3.30 pm at the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium in Mumbai.
