The High Court on Monday expressed anguish over Central Government’s apathy with regard to petition filed on the injustice done to candidates of Telugu language in UPPSC exam.

The Court reacted sharply on the Centre over the notification for civil exams. Admitting a petition in connection with the notification issued by UPPSC stating that it was detrimental to the interests of the Telugu candidates, the HC commented that apart from agitations have people to approach the courts for implementation of constitutional rights. How many days the regional languages have to suffer like this, said three-member Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Venkata Ramana, Justice Vilas and Justice V Afzal Purkar. The bench also served notices to UPPSC and Central Staff affairs department asking them to file counter petitions. The HC adjourned the case to next Monday.
