Power star Pawan Kalyan's recent films Agnyaathavaasi, Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Katamarayudu have turned out to be major disasters at the box office, despite the fact that the star has huge fan following across the globe. Many distributors have invested crores to bag his films' rights are now facing bankruptcy due to the box office failure of his last three films.

Going into details, PK's Sardaar Gabbar Singh has incurred losses of Rs 20 crores to all the parties involved in distribution of the film. Katamarayudu opened to mixed reviews but it didn't fare well at the box office, incurring a loss of Rs 30 crores while they could make only Rs 61 crores. The film right were sold for a huge amount of Rs 90 crores.

Pawan's latest outing was Agnyaathavaasi which released to much hype but alas failed to live up to the audience expectations. Many distributors and exhibitors competed against each other to grab the rights of Pawan-Trivikram combo film. They invested nearly Rs 125 crores but have managed to collect only Rs 60 crores so far. They are yet to recover the other half but with the negative talk making rounds, it might been a Herculean task to get that kind of amount.

PK's three films total loss is will be around Rs 120 crores. If we were to believe media reports about his not continuing to act in films, Pawan will leave the distributors in a soup. Moreover there has been no word from the Power star of compensating them for the loss. Grapevine says that if he was in films, we might expect a support from him, not that he has quit films for politics he has left every one high and dry.
