Karimnagar: A thief who was involved in several theft cases in Karimnagar and Jagitial districts was arrested on Tuesday. The police recovered 28.5 tolas of gold from him.

The police found the thief based on the CCTV footage at Jagitial bus stand. They presented the thief in front of media at Umesh Chandra Conference hall in Karimnagar. "The thief was identified as the Attineni Chandra Mohan alias Chandu, is the resident of Ayodhya village of Raikal mandal of Jagitial district. He was imprisoned twice in various theft cases," said Commissioner of police VB Kamalasan Reddy. He also appreciated the police officials for solving the case.

The police registered the case when the thief robbed a house at Boiwada in Karimnagar on February 18.
