Guru Prasad killed two kids before killing self

In a shocking case of double tragedy, it has come to light that R Guru Prasad, the assistant professor of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India who committed suicide two days ago, had killed his two minor sons before committing the extreme act.

His two sons, Vithal (9) and Nanda Vihari (5), whom he took with him, were killed between 10 to 12 noon on Saturday near Medchal. Guruprasad, who collected his sons from his estranged wife, left his vehicle in James Street and took his children to Medchal.

After killing them, he came to Secunderabad railway station and jumped in front of a train near Saibaba temple. Before committing suicide, he SMSed about the site where he killed his two kids.

R Guru Prasad, a resident of Anandbagh under Malkajgiri police limits, had been involved in an acrimonious divorce battle with his estranged wife Suhasini.

Suhasini had lodged a complaint on Sunday morning saying that her husband had taken both the children and did not hand them over. The Malkajgiri police registered a missing case and formed special teams to trace Vittal and Nandu.

Prasad, in his suicide letter, had listed the story of his marital discord. He had been estranged from his wife for the last two years.
