Greedy son-daughter duo murder mother for property in Hyd

To gobble up mother's properties, an avaricious man and his sister conspired and killed her. The incident, which happened a year ago under Shah Inayat Gunj police station limits, came to light on Tuesday.

Lakshmi Bai of Goshamahal area, who lost her husband quite early in life, inherited his properties that ran into several crores of rupees. Her son and daughter had on several occasions forced her to divide the properties among them but the mother steadfastly refused to do so.
Greed and avarice got better of the son and the daughter, who conspired to kill her. While she was in deep sleep, they strangulated her to death and buried the body in their backyard garden.
The concocted a story that Lakshmibai went to relatives' house and would return soon. Few days later, they filed a complaint saying she had gone missing. Since then, the Shah Inayat Gunj police had been investigating the case.
A year after the murder, they spilled the beans during an investigation and admitted to having killed their mother.
The residents of that area were shocked to hear about the gory incident.
