Greater Hyderabad will be an international city in 5 yrs: KTR

  • Will turn Greater Hyderabad into an international city: KTR
  • Only TRS can develop Hyderabad
  • We are systematically addressing impoverished conditions that had piled on for last 50 years
  • We will show development in five years, if elected
  • The fears of Seemandhra people have been proved to be imaginary

Hyderabad: “The State chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is a very stubborn person, he will definitely see through his promise of making Hyderabad an international city, there are no two ways about it”, said the Telangana IT and Panchayatraj minister K.T.Rama Rao on Saturday.

He said that the opposition parties have ruined the state for the last 50 years and asserted that if elected, the TRS party would develop the city within the next five years. He was addressing the delegates at the Telangana Private Schools Association that met at the TKR Engineering college grounds in Meerpet on Saturday.

“The opposition parties do not have the moral right to allege that there is insufficient infrastructure in Hyderabad”, the minister said and added that “it was the MIM, BJP, TDP and Congress leaders that held the responsibilities of the mayor for the last 50 years and they were not able to make provisions for the growing population nor bring the population under control. This resulted in shortage of drinking water, inconvenient highways, insufficient public security, and traffic problems that the public had to cohabit with.”

KTR said that their earlier claim that the states would develop faster if they are bifurcated, is now proved to be true; while the claims that Seemandhra people would be attacked if Telangana state was formed, have been proved to be imaginary. The minister also stated that with the assistance of the Centre, the state government will also provide the middle class with housing in the lines of the double bedroom housing projects.

Take on the PM...
He expressed irony on the fact that the PM was able to travel to 40 nations after he had assumed responsibilities but not the 29 states in India. The Hyderabad people have not seen their prime minister as yet, he said. The minister revealed that the TRS government has taken measures to enable the city population live with proper infrastructure facilities for the next 30 years.

Addressing the delegates here, the Telangana minister for Power, G. Jagadish Reddy that the state was determined to resolve the problems of the private school teachers and administrators, but due to the imposition of the election code, they was not able to make any favourable announcements right now.

MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy, Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, MLC Kesireddy, Narayana Reddy, State Private Schools Association president Srinivas Reddy, General Secretary Sekhar Rao, Working President Sekhar Reddy and private school teachers and administrators participated in the program.
