Govt to take action after CID report on EAMCET-2 leakage: Kadiam Srihari

The government is awaiting full report from CID, said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari.

Warangal: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said the government would take a decision after CID submits its full report on EAMCET-2 leakage case, while assuring the students and parents of the justice. Speaking with students and parents here on Thursday, the Deputy Chief Minister further said the government was keen on the issue. Srihari has advised the students not to panic over the EAMCET-2 leakage.

Students under 500 and their parents assembled in front of Secretariat and expressed their concerns over the cancellation of EAMCET-2. Rankers request CM KCR not to cancel EAMCET-2 exam. 

A student, who got 140 rank, said: “It’s difficult to write again the exam. We request KCR to punish the culprits in leakage.” Another parent said that it would be difficult for poor students to write exam again and again.

“The government can easily identify those culprits in leakage. it’s not a leakage, but a scam by rich students and parents. The state government can continue process recruits,” said an angry parent.

Expressing grief over the leakage, another ranker said: “We’re already reeling under depression over NEET. Then EAMCET-1 and now, EAMCET-2. Latest is leakage of question paper. Why this continued confusion and causing anxiety. Keep our rankings as they’re, while deleting ranks of those who involved in this scam. Remove those ranks of 72 culprits and go ahead with the rest of us.”

Another ranker Manish said: “We don’t even apply for EAMCET-3, but continue our fighting for justice.”

Congress demands KCR’s resignation over lapses in EAMCET-2

Coming in support of the students and parents, Congress party has expressed concerns over the way EAMCET-2 was conducted. CLP Deputy Leader Jeevan Reddy said: “AP has conducted EAMCET for one time this year. But our State government has conducted for two times. This is causing lot of pressure to students. Moreover, leakage issue has further put students under depression. I demand resignation of Chief Minister.”
