Government Suppressing Kapu Agitation, Says Ambati

Guntur: YSR Congress Party spokesman Ambati Rambabu said the Andhra Pradesh Government is trying to suppress the Kapu agitation. He said that the Government had already stopped Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham's Padayatra thrice. Padmanabham has been demanding the Government to recognise Kapus as BCs. Rambabu said the police have even humiliated Padmanabham and his family members, when they were on hunger strike to achieve reservations to Kapus.

Rambabu added that police dealt with YS Jagan in the same way. When Jagan went to Vizag to take part in candle rally demanding special state status to AP, he was arrested at the airport itself. He questioned the veracity of the cases that were filed in connection with Tuni violence and burning of agricultural filed in the capital city area. He said the Telugu Desam Party leaders are the accused in these cases.
