Gold Worth Rs12 Lakh Seized At Rajiv Gandhi Airport

Hyderabad: Customs officials arrested a passenger on Thursday and seized 423 grams of smuggled gold from him at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here. The gold was concealed in the form of thin gold sheets pasted to the interior walls of two chocolate boxes and a face cream box. The accused arrived from Abu Dhabi on a Jet Airways flight No. 9W 549.

On a tip-off the officials intercepted the accused and the seized gold is estimated to be worth of Rs12.09 lakh
