EAMCET-3 topper Manasa wants to pursue a career in cardiology

Hyderabad: Girls have performed better than boys in EAMCET-3 for MBBS and BDS admissions by securing six out of top 10 ranks.

Regalla Prapulla Manasa, a resident of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh notched the first rank, while the second rank went to P Sri Harika. The results were released on Thursday afternoon by Telangana State Council of Higher Education chairman Papireddy.

Out of 37,178 candidates who wrote the exam, 36,834 candidates qualified and 24,612 are girls while 12,222 are boys. The web counselling will begin from September 17.

EAMCET-3 topper Manasa enthusiastically said that she wants to pursue a career in cardiology.

“I plan to seek admission in Osmania Medical College and pursue a career in cardiology,” she said.

Meanwhile, several objections over the preliminary key were received by JNTU-H and an expert committee had been formed to look into the matter.

“We received nearly 700 objections for 20 odd questions. The committee found that there were seven questions which had no answers and one question was out syllabus,” said Venugopal Reddy, vice-chancellor of JNTUH.

As out of 8 questions, 7 questions were given without answers and one was out of syllabus the officials have awarded 8 marks to every candidate who appeared for the exam.

Those have found any discrepancy in the evaluation can pay Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000 for SC,ST on http:www.tseamcet.in latest by Saturday. Meanwhile, OMR sheets will be displayed till Saturday 5pm.

The classes for MBBS and BDS courses is expected to start from October 1.
