Girl Students Lathi-Charged at Rajendranagar Agri Varsity

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, with students protesting against the withdrawal of Nutrition Science course.

Staging a protest here on Thursday, the students demanded continuation of the course as job opportunities were increasing for the Nutrition Science course. It may be recalled that the university announced the cancellation of the course without any prior notice.

Police took the agitating students, mostly girls, into custody from the campus.
