Girl Jumps From College Building After Being Beaten By Lecturer Over Theft
Hyderabad: An intermediate student at a private junior college died after jumping from the building in Siddipet on Thursday. Bhavani, a resident of Pullur in Siddipet rural mandal, was a second year CEC student at Sai Chaitanya Junior College and would commute to and from home by bus. When she entered the class on Thursday morning, her bag was searched and the lecturer found a Rs100 note which was purportedly misplaced by a classmate.
In infuriated English lecturer, Brahmananda Reddy (Nandu) beat the girl in front of all the students in the class. She felt humiliated and grew emotional and jumped from the fourth floor of the building in full view of the other students and staff.
She succumbed to serious injuries on the way to hospital.
Police are investigating the case and the lecturer is absconding.
