Girl Harassed by College-mate, Nirbhaya Case Booked in Old City

A second year intermediate student Amir of Presidency Junion College at Falaknuma was thrashed by the brother of a girl student of the same college for harassing his sister.

The accused reportedly caught the hand of the girl while entering the college on Friday. He said, "You are beautiful, I want to talk to you." He tried to give me a slip with his mobile number and asked me to call him. I was scared and said, "Leave me alone, I am already engaged and am about to get married." But the miscreant continued to follow her to her classroom. The girl then called her brother and explained the incident. Her brother came to the college and thrashed the boy.

However, by the time, Amir also called his friends who reached the college and picked up a quarrel with the girl's brother. He also sustained injuries.  

According to Falaknuma DCP Satyanarayana, cases were booked against both the groups and a Nirbhaya case was registered against Amir for harassing the girl. Investigation is on.
