GHMC demolishes school while classes were on

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Wednesday demolished an unauthorized school building at Krishnanagar in Hyderabad. {Watch: GHMC demolishes school building}

But this demolition drive created a flutter as the officials went on to raze the building even when the children were present in the class rooms.

The children and staff members were shell-shocked when the GHMC officials started demolishing the two-stored building of Sairam High school without any prior notice. Soon the management of the school sent the children out.
The management alleged that the GHMC officials have not sent them any notice. The GHMC officials said that they carried out the demolition following the court orders.
Children rights activists questioned the GHMC officials as to who will be held responsible if something happen to the children.
