Gayatri US Premiere Collections
Director R Madan's Gayatri starring Dr Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu and Shriya Saran in the lead roles hit theatres yesterday. The film has opened to mixed reviews from all quarters.
It is a comeback film for Veteran actor Mohan Babu. Gayatri is all about a father searching for his long-lost daughter. It is a family entertainer. Manchu Vishnu has put in a lot of effort to become the most sought-after actor in Tollywood. But, his selection of scripts have failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office.
Recently, Manchu Vishnu purchased a story from Rajamouli's father K. V. Vijayendra Prasad by paying a whopping Rs 20 Cr.
Gayatri had premiere shows in North America and it went on to earn $9,473 at the foreign box office.

Due to the release of other films such as Varun Tej's Toli Prema and Sai Dharam Tej's Inttelligent, Gayatri might suffer a dip in collections in the coming days as the word of mouth for the other two movies seen to be great.
