Gannavaram TDP MLA protests alleged false case, CM sends pacifiers

Vijayawada: Protesting the alleged illegal case that was registered against him by the authorities, the TDP MLA from Gannavaram, Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan stated that he would not only surrender himself to the police but would also not seek bail for himself, but rather stay in prison.

He has also sent back his police detail of two gunmen to register his protest. His supporters suspect that the matter was instigated by another important leader from the district. Meanwhile the Machlipatnam MP K Narayana and the TDP district leader B. Arjunudu on Monday visited Vamsi Mohan at his home to try and convince him to give up his protest.

Vamsi Mohan wanted to know from the visiting party leaders as to how was he named as an A1 in the case when he had gone there only to try and persuade the participants to stop the dharna. He also demanded to know which leaders from the party had tried to use the district collector to register a case against him.

The visiting leaders reportedly made efforts to console him with promises to take up the entire episode with the CM and tried to impress upon him to give up his confrontational approach and deter him from even going to the police station.

It has been reported that Vamsi had met the CM later at his camp office and apprised him of all the details. The concerned district collector was also ordered to make himself available nearby to the CM camp office.
