Friction Over Script Stalls Pullela Gopichand’s Biopic

Hyderabad: The much-talked about biopic on badminton player and Chief National badminton coach Pullela Gopichand has reportedly been stalled.

As per reports, Gopichand hasn't signed on the No Objection Certificate making the filmmaker to pause the pre-production work.

A well-placed source, says that Gopichand didn't like the changes done by the unit in the script; as the filmmaker wants to elevate Sindhu's epic Olympic win.

"He (Gopichand) only wants Sindhu to be as a passing mention and nothing more than that. But the makers feel Sindhu's win can be a selling point for the film,” a source.

Gopichand hasn't given his nod. He has not signed on NOC, a source said.

The movie was to be helmed by Praveen Sattaru and Sudheer Babu is to essay Gopichand's role.

We hope the deadlock breaks soon and the biopic gets going.
