Fourth Indo-Global Education Summit from Sep 7

The Fourth Indo-Global Education Summit 2012, offering opportunities for Indian educational institutions for collaborations with foreign universities will be held in Hyderabad from September 7.

Around 1,000 Indian educational institutions including over 100 foreign universities from US, Australia, South Africa and European countries are expected to participate in the three-day event, Indus Foundation's (which is organising the Summit) Managing Trustee, S B Anumolu told reporters here.

 The objective of the Summit is to explore opportunities for collaborations between foreign universities and Indian institutions, apart from guidance of Indian students for higher education abroad, he said.

 The Summit 2012 will have sessions on collaborative research programs, joint/dual degree programs, distance education and vocational education programs faculty and students exchange programs, study abroad in India programs, and other academic partnerships, Anumolu said.

 The Summit 2012 is specifically designed for Managing Directors, CEOs, Vice-Chancellors, Principals, Deans, Department Heads, Faculty, Trustees, Correspondents, Government Officials, and other connected with higher education, he said.

 An Expo, running in parallel with the Summit, would provide a showcase of technology and training solutions and highlight best practices in teaching, learning and training.

 Around 10,000 students and parents are expected to visit the expo, he added.
