Four of family end lives in suicide pact in City

A middle-aged man who incurred heavy losses in his finance business allegedly committed suicide along with his wife and three children at Santosh Nagar in Hyderabad this evening, the police said.

Sukhvir Singh (50), who apparently suffered financial losses in his finance business and found it difficult to come out of the same, hung himself with his wife Majula (42) to the ceiling fan in their house, before allegedly offering some poisonous substance to their three children, they said.

Sukhvir Singh his wife and three children identified as Kruthika (22), Srujana (19) and Durga Mallesh (14) were found dead in their house, a senior police officer said, adding that they found a suicide note from the spot which was purportedly written by Singh stating that he had resorted to the extreme step along with family members due to financial problems.
