Former Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi Develops Allergy, Advised Rest

According to a press release from the DMK party, “Karunanidhi is not well as he has developed allergy due to some medicines he is taking regularly.”

Chennai: The DMK party on Tuesday announced that Karunanidhi has developed allergy due to some medicines he is taking regularly. After the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, it is now her political rival DMK chief M Karunanidhi who is now not keeping well. According to a press release from the DMK party, "Karunanidhi is not well as he has developed allergy due to some medicines he is taking regularly." The release further said that Karunanidhi was taking rest and not able to meet visitors.

Meanwhile, DMK had called an all party meeting in the state calling for action in the Cauvery issue. Though the party had moved three resolution for the case, the information about the party Chief's ill health has left DMK workers worried.

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was on the September 22 admitted at Apollo hospital here for fever and dehydration, but has been there in the hospital for more than one month now.

The DMK release further added that the drug allergy caused by one of the medicines which Karunanidhi regularly consumed. Consequently doctors have advised him rest.
