Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Wednesday decided to appoint former Congress MP G Vivek as an advisor on inter-state affairs. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed officials to issue orders in this regard, sources in the Chief Minister's Office said.
Vivek, son of former Union Minister and late Congress leader G Venkataswamy, was a member of the previous Lok Sabha from Congress. He joined the ruling TRS in Telangana later.
TRS leader D Srinivas, who had served as state Congress chief in undivided Andhra Pradesh, held the post of advisor to the Telangana government on inter-state affairs. He was later elected to the Rajya Sabha.
