Hyderabad: Netizens on Twitter slammed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday after his Twitter handle uploaded a post announcing the launch of 181 call centres that are aimed at helping women in distress.
The Twitter post reads out that: ఆపదలో ఉన్న మహిళలను ఆడుకోవడమే లక్ష్యంగా 181 కాల్ సెంటర్ ఏర్పాటు చేశాము." (Total of 181 call centres are aimed at "playing" with women in distress. The problems related to women harassment, eve-teasing, human trafficking will end). The post was removed within a hours following the backlash from the Twitteratis.
This is the second such incident after the AP CM's twitter handle revealed the identity of a minor, who was a victim of sexual abuse. In June, AP CM posted a photograph with the victim resulted in severe uproar in social media. The AP CM was trolled for the irresponsible post without showing concern over the victim.
