Eyeing on MP seat, JC hints switching loyalties to TDP

The recent statements of JC Diwakar Reddy, former minister and his brother JC Prabhakar Reddy are visibly indicating the former’s possible shift in party loyalties. JC, as being fondly called by his aides, on Wednesday expressed his desire to contest for MP post. However, he did not disclose on which party ticket he would contest.

JC, who himself agreed that he may not even get his deposits if he contests with Congress ticket, is reportedly eyeing on MP seat as TDP candidate. The sixth time Tadpatri MLA and a staunch supporter of Congress, JC turned defiant after Congress initiated the process to divide the State. Terming Congress high command decision on bifurcation as imprudent, he ‘foresaw’ the debacle of Congress candidates in 2014 general elections to divided Andhra Pradesh.
In an informal chat on Wednesday, JC hinted the probable shift to TDP, while saying he had very cordial relationship with TDP.
It is known fact that, JC was denied ministerial berth in the State cabinet due to internal bickering in the party and thus, distanced from participating in party activities for quite some time. The district politics put JC and the minister from the same Ananthapur district, Raghuveera Reddy at loggerheads.
